Over
the weekend of March 24-26 the Bay Pointe Inn and Restaurant
located on the shores of Gun Lake in Shelbyville Michigan, sponsored
a wonderful red hat get-a-way.
Warm welcomes greeted the red hatters and friends who filled the inn. We were pampered and treated to a fabulous time. Friendly staff, beautiful decorations, special red hat gift bag, arts and crafts, fashion show, spectacular panoramic views off bedroom balconies, immaculate rooms, and shopping.
Much thought and consideration went into every detail planned by the owners and staff at the Inn.
The Inn opened a little over a year ago. It's rooms, elegantly and tastefully decorated to bring an aura of peace and tranquility. Fresh floral bouquets placed strategically throughout the facility brought a sense of home and welcome. Fresh fruit, beautifully presented in the front lobby, comfortable furniture and crackling fireplaces created a warm, relaxing atmosphere.
Gourmet food, with a home cooked flare, beautiful presentation on fine china and glimmering crystal at every meal. Red and purple napkins on crisp white linen table cloths, elegant dining furniture, attentive and pleasant wait staff made every meal an adventure.
Best part of the weekend was getting to meet and have fun with members of red hat chapters from Michigan and Illinois. Red hatters never seem to remain strangers for very long.
At the end of the weekend, it was difficult to leave. After such a wonderful time among friends, relaxing and laughing, enjoying the peacefulness of lake, and the never ending variety of red hat creativity, we drove off in various directions, taking with us a sense of warmth, happiness and joy we won't soon forget. We vowed to return to the Inn.
