Hello Lovely Ladies!

What a beautiful day to celebrate our Red and Pink hat camaraderie.

You outdid yourselves with your splendid, unique, and simply fabulous attire--as always.

What a beautiful display it made to see all of you fill the hall and the joy that came from hearing laughter and singing.

If you have photos you'd like to share please let me know, I'd love to see them, I missed so much. Can't wait to see the dvd so I can see more of what I missed. The day passed so quickly.

On behalf of the Scarlet la-TEA-das I'd like to thank each and every one of you who attended, all those that took the time to write beautiful personal letters and cards, the emails and phone calls, the comments on the QMB, it makes a great effort like this all worth while after all is said and done.

For those of you who have been asking, plans are in the works for a 2009 Cotillion at this time. News as soon as all the pieces are put together.

How about that Elvis? Wasn't he something else!

And as always our chapter's very own jazzy girl Paula Haley--she's amazing!

Special thanks to Vicky for showing us her graceful hula! Always beautiful.

And all of you--you sure can dance!!!!

For the few people who complained about a few problems, I'm afraid sometimes things are unavoidable and just happen. Hopefully a positive solution came about that resolved your issue and you're happy again.

By and large I received very few complaints, only positive remarks. But it just takes a few to upset a day, because those are the things you worry about for next time and try to make sure they don't happen again.

One of the main photographers who were supposed to be taking photos was unable to make it that day and didn't tell Workdog Productions until late the evening before. They had to find another photographer to assist, but that left the team short one person to help with printing and office details. So I apologize for any problems with the photography. This was an unavoidable problem. And I'm sure I will use Workdog Productions again for any event I handle, so you will see a difference next time if you had any problems this time. This in no way impedes my overall opinion of their impeccable standard of work.

Unfortunately I do have to say something very sad. There were raffle gifts, presents, several crowns and bags, favors and other things taken. It's difficult to imagine any one stealing something from an event. Had a person wanted something I would have gladly given it to them. It wasn't necessary for things to be taken. There certainly were enough to go around for everyone. I hate when things like this happen, but I think we should all be aware of our surroundings and that there may be someone there with evil thoughts that would do such a thing. It's a shame. I don't understand it. I know it happens at other events. When it happens at your event though, it's particularly difficult to fathom or comprehend why someone would do such an unkind thing.

I do have a few lost and found items--if you've lost something please let me know and I'll get them to you.

Until next time, I thank you again for joining us for a splendid day and I look forward to our next Cotillion with even more anticipation. I already have the theme, and you will love it, especially if you love to dress in costume.

Again, If anyone would like to share photos with me for display on the site, please email me at redhattersmatter@hotmail.com

Take care of yourselves and be happy!

With my love and affection

Kathleen
